The AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector installer delivers the following components for ProjectWise integration:

• Queue Engine - Installs both the Sync Service and the ProjectWise Queue Engine, which are required to run ProjectWise sync jobs.
• Storage Driver - Installs the ProjectWise file driver that is required by the Storage Service to create the external ProjectWise storage device that points to the ProjectWise datasource you will be pulling documents from. This option requires Storage Service, however if Storage Service is not already installed on the computer, then the AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector installer will also install that service for you when you select this option.
• AssetWise ProjectWise Database Files - Installs the database files required for ProjectWise integration. This component must be installed on an existing AssetWise Information Integrity Server (AssetWise Information Integrity Server) computer.

There are three basic ways you can setup the connector:

1. Method A: Install the connector on the AssetWise Information Integrity Server computer

   This requires that you install the following items on an existing AssetWise application server computer:

   • AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector (all components)
   • ProjectWise Explorer
   • ProjectWise Gateway Service
2. Method B: Install the connector on a dedicated server

   This requires that you install the following items on the same computer:

   • AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector (Queue Engine and Storage Driver)
   • ProjectWise Explorer
   • ProjectWise Gateway Service

   In this configuration, the AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector will install the required AssetWise services (Sync Service and Storage Service), assuming they are not already installed.

   This configuration also requires that you install the following item on an existing AssetWise Information Integrity Server computer:

   • AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector (AssetWise ProjectWise database files only)
3. Method C: Install the connector on the ProjectWise Integration Server computer

   This requires you to install the following items on an existing ProjectWise Integration Server computer:

   • AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector (Queue Engine and Storage Driver)
   • ProjectWise Explorer

   In this configuration, the AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector will install the required AssetWise services (Sync Service and Storage Service), assuming they are not already installed.

   This also requires that you install the following item on an existing AssetWise Information Integrity Server computer:

   • AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector (AssetWise ProjectWise database files only)
